Coventry UniversityCoventry University

Coventry University is a forward-looking, modern University, with a proud tradition as a provider of high quality education and a focus for multidisciplinary research. We hold an established academic presence regionally, nationally and internationally, with roots that can be traced as far back as 1843. We take great care in providing a supportive environment for all our students.
Coventry University has a long history of research and consultancy, and is widely recognised for the high quality of its research endeavours and real-world applications. The expertise, skills and knowledge come from over 1000 academic, technical and specialist staff who operate within Research Institutes, Centres, groups and related areas.
We offer the highest quality teaching and learning experiences across all of the courses studied by our students. The high quality of our courses has been confirmed by the Quality Assurance Agency, who found our teaching to be in the 'excellent' range, ie 21 or more points out of a possible 24 for a wide range of our provision. The University's median RAE grade is now 3a and the proportion of researchers returned as part of the RAE working at a national or international level is 80 percent. www.coventry.ac.uk

Oxford Brookes University is a premier learning and teaching institution. It is one of the few institutions to have more than 20 subjects rated as excellent in teaching, and is renowned as a pioneer of the modular degree.
Our students give high satisfaction ratings to their teaching and learning experience, as well as our library and computing facilities. In fact, 89% would recommend us to prospective students. The university offers many vocational courses, and has a strong graduate employment record because of good links with local organisations.
The quality of research at Brookes has been graded at the highest levels of international excellence in history, and grows in strength across a range of fields. New research facilities open in 2006 and we are recognised in the sector for our innovative schemes to support research.
With around 18,000 students based on our three campuses in Oxford, Oxford Brookes University's vision is to become one of the best universities. www.brookes.ac.uk
