Caroline Gibson was the FDTL Project Manager for The Scholarship of Engagement for Politics. She has previously held high level administrative posts within the Department of Criminology and the Department of Archaeology and Ancient History at the University of Leicester. She has also run a small academic publishing company, publishing Social Science research in the areas of criminology, risk management and security management.
Now that the FDTL project has ended, Caroline holds posts at the University of Warwick as Manager of the ESRC Radicalisation and Violence Programme and with the Reinvention Centre as Reinvention Journal Manager.

Philippa Sherrington is the FDTL Project Director. She arrived at Warwick in 1999, having previously been a lecturer at Queen's University of Belfast. Her research focuses upon the institutional dynamics of the EU, in particular the inter-institutional dialogues between the Council of the EU and the European Parliament. Other areas of research include idea generation and think tanks who work on the EU, and the UK's tense relationship with the EU.
Philippa obtained a Warwick award for Teaching Excellence in 2003, having been nominated by students and colleagues. She has a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Teaching from the Queen's University Belfast, is an accredited member of the Higher Education Academy, and is a Member of the Reference Group for the Higher Education Academy Subject Centre for Sociology, Anthropology and Politics (C-SAP). She recently worked with the British Council in Romania on the development of a curriculum in EU politics for Romanian Universities.
